THE ARLEN INSPECTER
The reality is that the Real Arlen Specter has been a "national asset" to Washington Republicans for 30 years, working to block a Democratic majority. Now the only thing standing in his way is his own re-election. The Real Arlen Specter "[did] public opinion polls, observed other public opinion polls, and... found that the prospects for winning the Republican primary are bleak."
While he admits it was "a painful decision" to switch parties, the Real Arlen Specter vows not to change his "own approach to individual issues." Just remember when he claimed he would take on the phone companies about revealing our private records? CNN reports that "in the end.. [the Real Arlen] Specter has turned out to be another...Republican" So when you hear him placate union workers about passing an Employee Free Choice Act by year's end, just remember that the Real Arlen Specter never lets reality get in the way of his politics.
